Project Overview
Continor, a new factory located in Knowsley Industrial Park, specialises in injection moulding and the manufacture of plastic bins. To support high-capacity production and ensure resilient electrical distribution, a comprehensive electrical infrastructure was designed and installed. The project encompassed HV distribution, transformer installation, LV distribution, and extensive power and containment systems.
Scope of Works
- Installation of a new HV Ring Main Unit (RMU).
- Supply and installation of a new 11kV Transformer.
- Installation of a 6000A busbar trunking system feeding the main LV switchboard.
- Design, supply, and installation of a new main LV switchboard tailored to injection moulding plant requirements.
- Installation of heavy-duty ladder rack containment system throughout production and plant areas.
- High current power supplies installed to multiple injection moulding machines.
- Integration of machine power, controls, and sub-distribution boards.
- Testing, commissioning, and client handover with full O&M documentation.
